After the trainings, young people, with the mentorship of the IN Foundation, prepared their first project proposals addressing the needs of their communities.

The Project Selection Committee evaluated all applications and awarded ten best ranked initiatives that started with implemention in December 2019. Initiatives will be implemented until the end of February 2020 in two local communities – Čelinac and Prnjavor (Overview of approved proposals  https://docdro.id/PvSY9fU).

Furtehrmore, as part of this project, we assessed the opinions of young people, important adults and representatives of institutions with regards to the causes, consequences and possible solutions related to youth passivity and their more active participation in the lives of their communities. Therefore, eight focus group meetings were organised with the aim to get inputs to promote youth activism in selected, smaller local communities across BiH. As a result of this process, we have produced document with recommendations seeking to improve position of the young people in the municipalities of Čelinac and Prnjavor (Recommendations https://docdro.id/94sRip2) .

IN foundation implemented this project thanks to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Resilience Initiative (BHRI) program, which is led by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
