Youth as agents of change again in action

The IN Foundation project “Youth as an agent of change in their communities” has got its extension and will be implemented in the period July 2020 – March 2021, targeting young people aged 15 to 24.

The project is implemented through two components. The goal of the first component is to motivate young people living in Gradiska, Prijedor and Kotor Varos to increase their capacities to become more actively involved in the life of their communities in order to build more equal, inclusive and tolerant environment. Young people will have the opportunity to go through a cycle of workshops and thus gain new knowledge and skills for preparing project. After the training, young people will write project proposals themselves and to implement small initiatives in their communities by receiving financial support for its implementation.

The goal of the second component is to establish or revitalize youth centers/clubs in municipalities of Prnjavor and Celinac, with the aim to enrich the quality of life of youth and to provide them with safe space to spend their leisure time, learn new skills, express themselves creatively and be actively involved in the life of their community.

By using newly acquired knowledge and skills for activism, participation and social cohesion, interacting with their peers and other members of the community, youth will become genuine agents of change.

The project is enabled thanks to the support of Bosnia and Herzegovina Resilience Initiative (BHRI), implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and financially supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
